WHAT TO EXPECT ON A ROOKIE COURSE
INSPIRATIONAL LEARNING ENVIRONMENT
Safety Fun and Achievement is the name of the game, our trainers are the best in the business and are all experts at creating a learning environment that will help you achieve your goals.
SKILLS BASED TRAINING
Building skills and versatility is the foundation of our course, but firstly we need to develop an understanding of what is “Ideal”, this helps identify what skills need developing, the last piece to the puzzle is how you tactically apply these skills to a given situation.
This on snow training is backed up with off snow clinics and technical analysis sessions.
TRAINING 5 HOURS A DAY
We train 4 days a week, Monday – Tuesday and Thursday – Friday.
Each training day consists of a 3 hour session in the morning and 2 hours in the afternoon. Mornings tend to have a more technical focus with the afternoons being more about mileage and using Treble Cones awesome terrain to challenge your skills.
Treble Cone offers long uncrowded slopes and legendary off piste terrain, you will clock up plenty of vertical during your day, so lots of mileage to reinforce the changes.
PASSION FOR TEACHING
Any professional instructor must have a passion for teaching as much as they do for skiing or riding. At Rookies you will get the essential tools you need to become a good teacher – indeed, teaching is a skill you must master in it’s own right.
Through a greater knowledge of the ideal skiing or riding technique and learning theory, your increased understanding of the sport will help you analyze your own performance. You’ll be able to continue your own improvement long after your course.
