Visas
If you're looking to work in NZ, you'll need a Working Holiday Visa. These are usually easy to obtain if you are under 30, and the NZ government recently increased the UK quota by a thousand to 9000 per year. Apply at the NZ immigration website.
If you are a Citizen of one of the countries listed on the New Zealand Visa Free list, you do not need to apply for a visitor visa prior to travel. You will need to show onward travel arrangements (ie return ticket) to a country which you have the right to enter and a valid and acceptable travel document (valid for three months after the departure date) at the border for a stay of up to three months (or up to six months for UK citizens) as a visitor in NZ.
Insurance
It is mandatory that everyone participating in our program has full medical and travel insurance, you are, of course, free to use whichever company you choose but we have done some research and believe that either www.worldnomads.com or www.thebmc.co.uk offer some very competitive products.
