Rookie Academy Snowboard Standards:
Basic Intermediate
A rider who can make skidded turns of different sizes to control their speed on all blue terrain.
Intermediate
A rider who is comfortable on all blue terrain, can make skidded turns switch and can ollie in control.
Strong intermediate
A rider using the edges so the board carves while remaining balanced and controlled. Who is able to make small, medium and large skidded turns on most terrain at a ski area.Can ride switch confidently. Can perform controlled airs.
Advanced
A strong rider making carved turns on all groomed terrain. Who rides all off-piste terrain at a ski area with speed and confidence using different turn types.Can ride switch confidently.Can perform airs with rotations comfortably. |
