5 Week Introductory Snowboard Instructor Course - NZSIA CSI -- Wanaka, New Zealand

Take the first step toward a snowboard instructing career... Want to work on your riding? Not sure about instructing? Set yourself up to be an instructor and take your riding to a new level in just 5 weeks.

5 weeks in beautiful Wanaka, riding with an expert trainer, will give you the confidence to tackle any sort of terrain or snow. It will also give you a qualification that proves you are ready to train toward a level 1 instructing qualification.

It can be hard to take 8 weeks away from your work or study commitments. That's why we're happy to be able to offer you a 5 week snowboard instructor course built around a new qualification.

The new Certificate in Snowsports Instruction (CSI), developed by the New Zealand Ski Instructors Alliance, is now a mandatory requirement toward becoming a certified SBINZ instructor. 

It's also a great introduction to what instructing is about and a good goal, if you feel your riding needs work before you can think about getting qualified.

You would suit this course if:

• You are a BASIC INTERMEDIATE or above rider
• You are prepared to participate in fun 5 week program with over 20 days (100+ hours) of on-snow training
• You are looking to become a more confident snowboarder on all terrain
• You would like to see if teaching snowboarding is right for you
• You enjoy working with Children

The Rookie Academy 5 week snowboard instructor courses package includes:

• Season pass to Treble Cone ski area 
• Door to door transport to & from the Treble Cone ski area for 5 weeks
• Shared accommodation for 5 weeks 
• 100 hours of on snow, ski training 5 hours a day - 4 days per week
• SBINZ CSI Exam
• SBINZ manual
• Technical skill development to ride confidently on a variety of terrain 
• Video analysis and debriefing
