8 Week NZSIA Snowboard Instructor Course - SBINZ Level 1 - Wanaka, New Zealand

You ride the whole hill without too many dramas. Time to turn your skills and passion into an instructing qualification... Spend 8 weeks in Wanaka; leave town a snowboard instructor with great memories, new friends and a job lined up.

Fit and ready for some intensive training? A strong rider? This 8 week instructor course is designed to turn good riders into instructors in the shortest time possible.

You'll have to work hard. But your work will win you a instructing qualification respected in the industry: SBINZ level 1.

It's not possible to reach Rookie instructing standards -- standards that maintain our good reputation with snow sports schools and keep our pass rates high -- in less time. 

You would suit this course if:

• You are a STRONG INTERMEDIATE or above rider this is due to the shorter duration of this course.
• You are prepared to participate in demanding 8 week program with over 36 days (180+ hours) of on-snow training.
• You are in good physical condition and a quick learner.
• You are interested in working in both Southern and Northern Hemispheres.
• You are interested in meeting different people from different cultures that share your passion for skiing.
• You are looking for a challenge.

The Rookie Academy 8 week snowboard instructor courses package includes:

• Season pass to Treble Cone ski area 
• Door to door transport to & from the Treble Cone ski area 
• Shared accommodation for 8 weeks 
• 140 hours of on snow, ski training 5 hours a day - 4 days per week
• SBINZ CSI Exam
• SBINZ Stage 1 Exam
• NZSIA membership and manual
• Technical skill development to ride confidently on a variety of terrain 
• Video analysis and debriefing 
• Career development and overseas employment advice on completion of our snowboard instructor courses
• Board tuning and boot fitting clinics
• Rookie Academy top
• 8 weeks in beautiful Wanaka New Zealand

Rookie Academy Certificate:
If you have successfully completed all of the training with us you will receive a Rookie Academy certificate of attendance detailing the amount and variety of training you have received over the last 8 weeks, the certificate is also there to be used with any job you may apply for as it shows the depth of training you have received.
