5 Week Introductory Ski Instructor Course -- NZSIA CSI -- Wanaka, New Zealand

Short of time? Not sure whether instructing is for you? Take your skiing to a new level and get a qualification that sets you up to train for a stage 1 instructing qualification.

We know it can be hard to find and afford 8 weeks away from your work or study commitments. That's why its great to be able to offer you a 5 week ski instructor course built around a new qualification.

The new Certificate in Snowsports Instruction (CSI), developed by the New Zealand Ski Instructors Alliance, is now a mandatory requirement toward becoming a certified NZSIA instructor. 

It's also a great introduction to what instructing is about and a good goal, if you feel your skiing needs work before you can think about getting qualified.

5 weeks in beautiful Wanaka, skiing with an expert trainer, will give you the confidence to tackle anything a snow hill can throw at you. It will also give you a qualification that proves you are ready to train toward a level 1 instructing qualification.

• You are a BASIC INTERMEDIATE or above skier.
• You are prepared to participate in fun 5 week program with over 20 days (100+ hours) of on-snow training.
• You are looking to become a more confident skier on all terrain.

The Rookie Academy 5 week ski instructor courses package includes:

• Season pass to Treble Cone ski area 
• Door to door transport to & from the Treble Cone ski area for 5 weeks
• Accommodation for 5 weeks 
• 100 hours of on snow, ski training 5 hours a day - 4 days per week
• NZSIA CSI Exam
• NZSIA manual
• Technical skill development to ski confidently on a variety of terrain
