8 Week Ski Instructor Training Course -- NZSIA Stage 1 - Wanaka, New Zealand

Get Yourself Qualified as a Ski Instructor in Just 8 Weeks... It's Intensive and Demanding. But You'll Be Ready to Teach Skiing the Day You Complete the Course.

Are you a strong skier? Short of time? This 8 week ski instructor course is designed for strong skiers who want to become a qualified ski instructor in the shortest time possible.

This course is intense. You will be challenged physically and mentally. But your hard work will be rewarded with a respected ski instructor qualification: NZSIA Stage 1.

It is not possible to reach Rookie instructing standards -- standards respected by Ski Schools all over the world -- in less time.

You would suit this course if:

• You are a STRONG INTERMEDIATE or above skier this is due to the shorter duration of this course.
• You are prepared to participate in demanding 8 week program with over 36 days (180+ hours) of on-snow training.
• You are in good physical condition and a quick learner.
• You are interested in working in either Southern and Northern Hemispheres.
• You are interested in meeting different people from different cultures that share your passion for skiing.
• You are looking for a challenge.

The Rookie Academy 8 week ski instructor courses package includes:

• Season pass to Treble Cone ski area 
• Door to door transport to & from the Treble Cone ski area 
• Shared accommodation for 8 weeks 
• 140 hours of on snow, ski training 5 hours a day - 4 days per week
• NZSIA CSI Exam
• NZSIA Stage 1 Exam
• NZSIA membership and manual
• Technical skill development to ski confidently on a variety of terrain 
• Video analysis and debriefing 
• Career development and overseas employment advice on completion of our ski instructor courses
• Ski tuning and boot fitting clinics

Rookie Academy Certificate:
If you have successfully completed all of the training with us you will receive a Rookie Academy certificate of attendance detailing the amount and variety of training you have received over the last 8 weeks, the certificate is also there to be used with any job you may apply for as it shows the depth of training you have received.
