Arrival options into New Zealand

There are 2 international airports in NZ that you will likely arrive at, they are either Auckland (North Island) or Christchurch (South Island) you will have to clear customs at this point.

Here are 3 recommended options to get to Wanaka from Auckland or Christchurch:

• Firstly and the most convenient is to fly from either Auckland or Christchurch into Queenstown airport (there are direct flights from Sydney and Melbourne to Queenstown also).
  Transfers from and to Queenstown airport are included in the overall price of the course, Transfers for the end of the course will be arranged during the course.
  
• Secondly fly directly into Wanaka airport, there are only limited flights in to Wanaka Airport and they can be expensive, you will also be picked up at the airport by a Rookies representative.
  
• Thirdly bus from Christchurch to Wanaka this is the least expensive option but is the longest with the journey taking approx 7 hours (the scenery is amazing though), you will be picked up by a Rookies representative at the bus stop in Wanaka.
