ARRIVAL:
The accommodation for every course starts on a Saturday, and the first day of training is Monday, we recommend arriving into Wanaka on either the Saturday or Sunday.

TRAINING:
You will train 5 hours a day, 4 days a week

Mon-Tue and Thu-Fri are the days we train,  the training days are full-on and we expect 100% from everyone...that is why we break it up into two 2 day sessions, your lift pass and transport pass are valid 7 days a week, we expect you to ski at least 1 to 2 of your days off as well.

Daily we train 3 hours in the morning and 2 hours in the afternoon, the morning session tends to have a more technical focus and the afternoons a free skiing focus.

THE TRAINING WILL CONSIST OF:
Personal development-  we use a wide range of drills and exercises to develop your skiing and extensive use of video analysis.

Free-skiing-  mileage is a very important part of developing your skiing but it is important that it is constructive your trainers will use Treble Cone’s ideal terrain to help cement the changes, as well as pushing your boundaries.

Demonstrations-  you will learn to demonstrate a Wedge, Wedge Christie and Basic Parallel turn, most people learn visually so it is important that these are done correctly, the mechanics required to perform these turns are the same as a high performance turn so mastering your demo’s will help your high-end skiing.

Teaching-  this is presented gradually throughout the course either on-snow or in night sessions, it is broken up into 2 areas:
Teaching – you will learn progressions from beginner through to advanced intermediate, learning and teaching styles, class handling and communication skills.
Analysis – you will learn how to look at a skier and breakdown their movements to find the technical area that needs development.
