Once I finished school I wasn't sure what I wanted to do for work. I messed around for a little while until one day I decided I wanted to snowboard for a living. I found the Rookie Academy website and went through the what was then just NZSIA CSI and Stage 1 cert (Now SBINZ Level 1 and 2). After Passing both exams I spent a nice relaxing summer in Oz before starting my back to back winters, My first being at Coronet Peak. I spent three season in Colorado, USA. Two in Winter Park and One in Steamboat, While always doing my NZ winters at Coronet Peak.

After the US H2B visa became harder to get I spent a well deserved year off the snow with my partner in Oz before heading to Niseko, Japan for another winter. I then Returned to NZ to start my Season at Coronet before being giving the opportunity to work for the Rookies... doing the full circle from Rookie to Rookie Trainer.

Last year was a great season working for the rookies and im looking forward to getting back!
