Avalanche Course

While on course we feel it is important to limit the amount of distractions, our aim is to keep you focusing on your own personal development and passing your exams at the end of the course,

After your course has finished is the perfect time to take one of our additional course options, the pressure is off and you can relax and enjoy learning about a different aspect of the snow sports industry. 

The four-day Avalanche Course is intended for Instructors wanting to expand their knowledge of the mountain environment, to travel safely within it and impart knowledge useful for an instructor within organised area boundaries worldwide.

Dates: 21st to 24th September

In association with Aspiring Guides we are offering a Mountain Safety Council 4 day Backcountry Awareness Course. 

Options are:

• Black Peak Hut - 4 days - Private Hut - real backcountry terrain with helicopter lift. Course will cover all the components of the Mountain Safety Backcountry Awareness Course but with the added benefit of a complex mountain terrain and true NZ alpine experience.  Normally the course is $1150 + $190 heli. 
  Rookie Special - $1150 including heli, NZMGA guide, all food, accomm, transceiver, 
  
• Treble Cone Side Country - 4 days based out of TC boundary. Will still cover all the same components, but utilise area in and around TC will be used. 
  $500. Does not include accomm,transport to TC or food.
