Keystone:
Keystone ski area consists of three mountains linked together by 2 gondolas and 21 lifts. With close to 2,000 total acres, 2,900 vertical feet, and a world class Terrain Park. There is a wide variety of runs with each peak offering its challenges. If the groomed terrain is not entertaining enough there are also the cat skiing runs to ensure an enjoyable day.
Arapahoe Basin:
Just 20 min south west from Keystone you'll find Arapahoe Basin and a mind blowing 360 inches of snow to ski or ride. This huge amount of snow and its altitude make "A- Basin" one of the few mountains in Colorado that can stay open as late as July. With only 69 trails yes; But we are talking trails rated as some of the most challenging in Colorado by those in the know.
Breckenridge:
Visible from the Keystone Summit, Breckenridge Ski Area offers a variety of terrain to suit all ability levels and skiing and riding predilections. That said, the majority of Breckenridge is considered expert terrain and enticing bowls cry out to be carved up from above the tree line.
Vail:
Just a bit further up I-70, you'll find an iconic ski destination: Vail Mountain. Glitz, glamour, money: yep, Vail is at the sophisticated end of the ski resort scale. But, bottom line, offers amazing skiing and riding experience. And, the back bowls you might have heard about: amazing.
Beaver Creek:
On the other side of Vail, Beaver Creek is home to the famous World Cup downhill run Birds Of Prey. From extreme steeps to plenty of learning terrain Beaver Creek is another resort offering something for everyone. And, if your course starts in December, you need to check out a World Cup Downhill -- there is carving up a mountain and there is carving up a mountain. |
