Choosing to start your instructing career with Rookie's Keystone program has some perks... Your winter playground:

  • 5 ski resorts: Keystone, Vail, A-Basin, Breckenridge, Beaver Creek
  • Thousands of acres of terrain
  • Thousands of vertical feet
  • Hundreds of inches of snow
  • Hundreds of green, blue and black runs
  • Inumerable bowls, steeps, trees...

You'll be based at Keystone but your pass entitles you to free local buses. So all the five local resorts are easily accessible.

Keystone:

  • Open Mid November Mid April
  • 2,900 Vertical Feet
  • 1,861 total acres
  • Base elevation 9,300 ft/2,835 meters
  • summit elevation 12,200 ft/3,719 meters
  • 230 inches of snow annually
  • 116 trails and 21 lifts

Keystone ski area consists of three mountains linked together by 2 gondolas and 21 lifts. With close to 2,000 total acres, 2,900 vertical feet, and a world class terrain park, anyone can keep themselves entertained for the season at Keystone Resort.

Keystone Mountain is considered the easiest of the three peaks and provides the longest green run in Colorado. From the top of Keystone you can experience all the beauty of the Rocky Mountains.

North Peak, directly behind Keystone Mountain, is home to plenty of steep, long blue runs and bountiful challenging off-piste terrain.

The Outback, the furthest peak of the three, offers the sort of glade runs that have made Colorado skiing famous. And a short hike takes you to another type of sking Colorado is famous for: wide open bowls, only recently available to ski.

Arapahoe Basin

  • 2,257 Vertical Feet
  • Open from November - July
  • An average of 360 inches of snow per season
  • Base Elevation : 10,780 feet/ 3,292 meters
  • Summit Elevation 13,050 ft/ 3,978 meters
  • 69 Trails

Just 20 min south west from Keystone you'll find Arapahoe Basin and a mind blowing 360 inches of snow to ski or ride. This huge amount of snow and its altitude make "A- Basin" one of the few mountains in Colorado that can stay open as late as July.

Only 69 trails? Yes. But we are talking trails rated as some of the most challenging in Colorado by those in the know.

Breckenridge

  • Open Mid November to Mid April
  • 2,208 Total Acres
  • 3,398 Vertical Feet
  • Base elevation 9,600 ft/2,926 meters

  • An average of 300 inches of snow a season
  • World Class terrain park

Visible from the Keystone Summit, Breckenridge Ski Area offers a variety of terrain to suit all ability levels and skiing and riding predilections.

That said, the majority of Breckenridge is considered expert terrain and enticing bowls cry out to be carved up from above the tree line.
