Rookie Academy's shortest Colorado course offers you an opportunity to take 3 weeks from your job or studies and join the snowsports industry.
You'll get personal attention from specialist Snowsports instructor trainers. Trainers dedicated to getting both your skiing and your teaching up to Rookie standard - a standard respected throughout the industry.
Your Rookie training will prepare you for just about any skiing challenge and set you up with great basic skills to move towards an all-round top skier.
We've been training instructors since 1992 and ex-rookies have proved their worth just about anywhere there is piste and/or powder... United States, Canada, New Zealand, Australia, Argentina, Japan, Europe... We can introduce you to local Ski and Ride Schools just about anywhere you want to go.
Why not spend some time playing in Colorado powder and secure yourself the option of starting a ski instructing career? Have the flexibility to organise your own accommodation over your 3 week stay or have us advise you on a variety of options and prices.

Your 3 week Instructor Training Course includes:
• Copper Mountain pass • Training for 2 weeks – 4/5 days a week – 4/5 hours per day • 1 Week PSIA Level 1 exam • Personal skills development including carving, powder, bumps and big mountain • Park & Pipe introduction to develop your freestyle skills • On snow video analysis • Indoor technical and exam theory sessions • Complimentary local transportation services to Copper, surrounding ski areas & local townships • Camp Woodward Freestyle training session • Tuning & equipment clinic • Team organized social event and welcome orientation • Rookie Academy apparel item • Training groups of 4 to 6 • World-class International trainers and examiners who are dedicated to your success • Internationally recognized certification – PSIA qualifications. • Annual -membership to Professional Ski Instructors Association • Training manuals and materials • Advice and discounts on the purchase of snowsports equipment including the opportunity to receive Rookie Academy USA affiliated sponsors and distributor discounts -- see our ski gear guide.
