This course offers you three qualifications:

• NZSIA Certificate in Snow Sports instruction ski qualification
• NZSIA Stage 1 ski instructor qualification
• SBINZ Certificate in Snow Sports instruction snowboard qualification

The SBINZ CSI is an entry level snowboard instructor qualification introduced in 2005. Combine it with the highly-regarded NZSIA Stage 1 ski qualification and you turn yourself into a very appealing prosective employee for snow sports schools everywhere.

You would suit this course if:

• You are a STRONG INTERMEDIATE or above snowboarder, and can ski to a BASIC INTERMEDIATE level
• You are prepared to participate in demanding 12 week program with over 55 days (270+ hours) of on-snow training included in this is 16 days of NZSIA ski and SBINZ snowboard exams
• You are interested in working in both Southern and Northern Hemispheres
• You are interested in teaching both snowboarding and skiing
• You are looking to challenge yourself in technically different sports
• You are interested in meeting different people from different cultures that share your passion for riding

• Being able to teach both snowboarding and skiing increases your worth to a ski school 100% by giving the ski school options to use you on either discipline depending on demand.
• You are able to stay with you clientele when they try the other discipline giving you more work.
• Depending on the snow conditions and terrain it gives you options on what would be the most fun.
• Being dual qualified in Snowboard and Ski can increase your hourly wage.

The New Zealand Rookie Academy 12 week dual discipline instructor course package includes:

• Season pass to Treble Cone ski area 
• Door to door tansport to & from the Treble Cone ski area 
• Accommodation for 12 weeks 
• 270 hours of on snow ski training, 5 hours a day - 4 days per week
• SBINZ CSI Snowboard exam
• NZSIA CSI Ski exam
• SBINZ Stage 1 exam
• NZSIA membership and manuals
• Technical skill development to ski and ride confidently on a variety of terrain 
• Video analysis and debriefing
• Career development and overseas employment advice on completion of the course

Rookie Academy Certificate:
If you have successfully completed all of the training with us you will receive a Rookie Academy certificate of attendance detailing the amount and variety of training you have received over the last 12 weeks, the certificate is also there to be used with any job you may apply for as it shows the depth of training you have received.
